The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Associate Lawyer with a minimum of three years' post-call experience in plaintiff-side personal injury or civil litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys managing files, advocating for clients, and working alongside an experienced litigation team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage plaintiff personal injury files from intake through resolution
  • Conduct examinations for discovery, mediations, and court appearances
  • Draft pleadings, applications, briefs, and other litigation materials
  • Provide strategic legal advice and maintain ongoing client communication
  • Collaborate with lawyers, paralegals, legal assistants, medical experts, and opposing counsel
  • Develop litigation strategies and negotiate settlements where appropriate

Qualifications

  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
  • Minimum 3 years of post-call experience in plaintiff personal injury or civil litigation
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and legal drafting skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
