We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Safety Officer (CSO) to help maintain a safe, compliant, and productive work environment on our construction projects. Qualifications
- Certified Construction Safety Officer (CSO), NCSO, CRSP, or equivalent safety designation preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of construction safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Experience conducting inspections, incident investigations, and safety training.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor job sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits.
- Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and worker orientations.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, and prepare detailed reports.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workers to promote a strong safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety legislation.
