Notice of part-time support staff vacancy

The Opportunity: The Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA & PTA) Lab Specialist is a key support position within the College’s OTA & PTA program working alongside faculty to facilitate student learning, reinforce clinical skills and other proficiencies, and support experiential learning through fieldwork and practicum experiences, as established in program curriculum. The incumbent is responsible for the security, maintenance, cleanliness and organization of the OTA & PTA laboratories, and has regular interaction with both staff and students of Sault College.

What you need to be successful:

2-year OTA/PTA diploma
Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience working as an OTA or PTA in a health care organization or similar setting (preferred)
Teaching / training experience is an asset
Must possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
Excellent leadership, mentoring, and presentation skills
A strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
Knowledge of relevant software packages including Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems

This is a part-time support staff position, $36.12/hour, up to a maximum of 24 hours per week.
