Role overview

Job Summary:

The Software Developer role involves designing, developing, and testing enterprise-level Java EE applications. The successful candidate will work onsite full-time, translating business requirements into robust, scalable solutions using modern Java technologies, frameworks, and databases. Collaboration within an Agile environment and experience with cloud and BPM tools are also essential.
Responsibilities:

Analyze and design applications based on business requirements and technical specifications.
Develop and maintain n-tier Java EE applications using best practices and design patterns.
Write unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
Deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize applications in production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies.
Develop and consume web services and implement service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions.
Work onsite five days per week, adhering to standard working hours.

Required Skills:

7+ years of hands-on experience developing n-tier Enterprise Java applications.
Expertise in Java EE platform, including JPA/Hibernate and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, MVC, Data, Batch, Security).
Strong proficiency with databases such as Amazon Aurora, RDS, Postgres, Oracle, and PL/SQL.
Experience with Eclipse IDE or Rational Application Developer.
Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks including React, Angular, and jQuery.
Ability to write SQL and stored procedures.

Desired Skills:

Agile development experience including Scrum, User Stories, CI, TDD, and automated testing.
Experience with BPM tools such as jBPM, Activiti, IBM Process Server, Camunda BPM, and Drools Rule Engine.
Knowledge of fine-grained security frameworks like Spring Security, Apache Shiro, or ForgeRock.
Experience with AWS Cloud services including Aurora Serverless, Athena, Amazon S3, ElastiCache, and OpenSearch.

Must Haves:

Onsite availability five days per week during standard business hours.
7+ years of Java EE enterprise application development experience.
Proficiency with Spring Framework and ORM tools.
Strong database skills with Oracle, Postgres, and Amazon Aurora.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks for UI development.
