Job Description:Under the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, the Registered Nurse (AAP) will be responsible for providing nursing services including the diagnoses and treatment of common medical disorders according to the Clinical Decision Tools and in conjunction with their clinical knowledge and judgment; in compliance with the RN with Additional Authorized Practice (RN AAP) Practice Standardswithin the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The RN (AAP) will support underserved populations within an urban setting providing care to clients in clinical and outreach locations. The RN (AAP) will support case management, navigation, assessment, triage of clients presenting, treatment of the presenting concern or connection and referral to an appropriate health care provider.

Education

  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years recent related nursing experience is required

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Ability to promote effective relationships within the SHA and the community.
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the limited common medical disorders according to CDTs
  • Ability to exercise independent nursing judgement

Other Education & Training

  • Completed an application for authorized practice
  • Current CPR certification

Other Information

  • Registered/Eligible for registration with CRNS as an RN(AAP)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle available for work.
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
