Design Functional Commercial Kitchens from Concept to Completion:Paramount Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Kitchen Designer to join our growing team in Winnipeg. In this role, you'll collaborate with customers, architects, consultants, contractors, project managers, and equipment suppliers to design efficient, functional, and code-compliant commercial kitchens for restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools, hotels, grocery stores, and institutional clients throughout Manitoba.This position is based in our Winnipeg office and requires occasional travel to customer sites throughout Manitoba.

What You'll Do:

  • Design commercial kitchen layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare floor plans, equipment layouts, elevations, utility drawings, and installation drawings.
  • Coordinate electrical, plumbing, gas, and ventilation requirements with project designs.
  • Review architectural drawings and integrate commercial kitchen layouts into overall building plans.
  • Collaborate with customers, project managers, estimators, contractors, architects, consultants, and equipment suppliers throughout the design process.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, health regulations, accessibility standards, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Develop kitchen layouts that maximize workflow, safety, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Prepare equipment schedules, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Revise drawings throughout the design and construction process.
  • Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and existing conditions as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of direct commercial kitchen design experience is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial foodservice equipment, kitchen workflow, and utility requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and health regulations related to commercial kitchens.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
