Role overview

Clean Harbors in Victoria B.C is seeking a Technical Services Project Manager to join their on-site team at a local customer facility. This role is responsible for overseeing environmental and hazardous waste projects from quotation through execution and ensuring all work is completed safely, on budget, on schedule, and in compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. The position will also support operations involving chemical lab packs, waste segregation, and the handling, packaging, and coordination of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.

This position requires candidates to reside in Victoria, B.C. and work fully on-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Technical Services projects from planning through completion.
  • Prepare quotes, manifests, packing lists, labels, and regulatory documentation.
  • Coordinate field staff, schedules, and operational resources.
  • Conduct project assessments and identify safety and operational requirements.
  • Handle, segregate, package, inspect, and profile hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, transportation, and safety regulations.
  • Support lab packs, waste collection programs, and customer site services.
  • Inspect containers and storage areas for compliance, leaks, and shipping readiness.
  • Support operational improvements and branch service initiatives.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and resolve service-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, environmental services, hazardous waste management, remediation, spill response, or related industrial services.
  • Valid Driver’s License required and reliable transportation.
  • Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with manifests, waste profiling, labeling, packaging, and shipping documentation preferred.
  • Education in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or related industry experience considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments and perform physical job duties.
  • Ability to wear respiratory protection equipment (clean shaven requirement).
