Job Description:Under the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for general and specialized respiratory care in the assigned areas, as well as assisting with special projects and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment. The incumbent will promote the delivery of patient centred care through the application of professional standards. The position will have specific responsibilities related to patient needs and clinical knowledge.

Experience

  • One (1) year previous related life skills/experience

Education

  • Successful completion of an exam approved by the CSRT
  • Graduate from a Respiratory Therapy training program accredited by the CSRT

Licenses

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
  • Experience with Adult education to other care providers an asset
