Location: Aqua-Tots Swim School Kanata & Orleans
Reports To: Owner and Regional General Manager
This full-time position includes approximately 8 hours each week working as part of our Client Care Team, allowing you to stay connected with our families while contributing to the overall success of both Ottawa schools.
Position Summary
The Community Events & Sales Coordinator is responsible for growing brand awareness and increasing enrollments through community outreach, local partnerships, event coordination, marketing and relationship building.
This is a highly organized, hands-on role that requires initiative, excellent time management, and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development

- Generate new enrollments through community outreach, local partnerships, referral opportunities, and promotional initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, childcare centres, sports organizations, healthcare providers, and community groups.
- Develop creative B2B partnership opportunities that increase awareness and drive new business.
- Identify new sales opportunities within the community and take initiative to pursue them.
- Track sales performance and evaluate the effectiveness of events and promotional initiatives using measurable data.
- Work closely with the Client Care Team to ensure leads are nurtured and converted into enrollments.
- Event Planning & Community Outreach

- Research, recommend, and coordinate community events that align with our target audience.
- Organize every aspect of promotional events, including scheduling, supplies, displays, staffing, logistics, and follow-up.
- Represent Aqua-Tots at community events, festivals, trade shows, and partner locations.
- Confidently engage with families, answer questions, and generate qualified leads.
- Continuously bring fresh ideas to improve community engagement and event success.
- Organization & Project Coordination

- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Maintain organized records of partnerships, events, promotional materials, budgets, and outcomes.
- Ensure marketing materials and event supplies are prepared well in advance.
- Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Take ownership of projects from planning through execution.
- Client Care Support

- Work approximately 8 hours each week as part of the Client Care Team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to prospective and current families.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Aqua-Tots programs, policies, and enrollment procedures.
- Support the success of both the Kanata and Orleans schools as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, business development, event coordination, community engagement, or customer-facing marketing.
- Proven experience meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Experience tracking sales results and measuring the success of marketing and promotional initiatives.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Experience working with children and families.
- Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Must be able to work at both our Kanata and Orleans locations.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

- Experience in recreation, hospitality, education, retail, or family-focused organizations.
- Basic understanding of social media to support event promotion (content creation is not the primary focus of this role).
