Job Description:The Registered Nurse A is responsible to the nursing unit manager or director of nursing. The Registered Nurse A is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. As a member of the nursing department, the Registered Nurse A has the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client centered care.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Sound judgment, tact, initiative and high standards of integrity/responsibility
  • A valid driver's license and licensed/registered vehicle is required.
  • A demonstrated ability to meet and work with clients
  • Ability to manage crisis situations in clinical areas relevant to the position
  • Ability to work cooperatively in an integrated interdisciplinary team
