Role overview
Your New Employer
HighView Partners has been exclusively retained to identify an accomplished construction leader for one of Canada's most respected real estate owners and developers. This confidential search presents an exceptional opportunity to join the organization as Director, Project Management, based in Mississauga.
Your New Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Development, you'll provide strategic leadership for a portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and retail developments that shape communities across Ontario.
This role extends well beyond managing a single project. You'll lead multiple complex developments from acquisition and due diligence through design, procurement, construction, and completion, partnering with consultants, contractors, municipalities, and executive leadership to deliver exceptional results.
Beyond project delivery, you'll serve as a trusted advisor, influencing investment decisions, redevelopment strategies, capital planning, procurement, and risk management across the portfolio. Working closely with Leasing and Asset Management, you'll help drive the long-term success of a growing real estate platform.
What Sets You Apart
You're an accomplished construction and development leader with 10+ years of experience managing complex projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use or retail assets. Whether you've built your career with a developer, owner, general contractor or project management consultancy, you've successfully delivered projects from due diligence and planning through construction and completion while managing multiple priorities and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
You bring strong technical knowledge of construction, building systems, budgeting, procurement and contract administration, with experience negotiating consultant and contractor agreements, managing capital budgets, forecasting cash flow and mitigating project risk. You're comfortable navigating municipal approvals, working with CCDC contracts and leading projects in a fast-paced environment where sound judgment and decisive leadership are essential.
A degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Urban Planning or a related discipline will position you well for success. Professional designations such as PMP, LEED or similar certifications are valued but not essential. More important is your ability to operate independently, influence stakeholders at every level and consistently deliver successful project outcomes.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing real estate platform.
You will join an organization with a strong reputation, an active development pipeline and a long-term commitment to investing across multiple asset classes. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you'll have the opportunity to influence high-impact projects, contribute to strategic growth initiatives and see the direct impact of your work.
You'll enjoy the autonomy, executive exposure and opportunity to influence decisions that directly shape the organization's continued growth and success.
Compensation
Expected total annual compensation of CDN$234,000 - $260,000 including a base salary of CDN$180k - $200k and a performance-based bonus of up to 30%, subject to individual and/or company performance.
