Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Our client, a global engineering consulting firm dedicated to sustainable and innovative solutions, is looking for a motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their Edmonton team. This is a full service environment, from field exploration and lab testing through to designing and managing construction of complex geotechnical structures. You'll work closely with a local team of 30 geotechnical professionals in Edmonton, backed by a wider regional team of over 200 people.

Your opportunity:

Work in an innovative environment, using tools like UAVs and AI integrated solutions, with exposure to the firm's Innovation Office and Digital Center of Excellence
Build client relationships and deliver tailored solutions based on their needs
Lead and manage small to mid sized geotechnical projects from proposal through completion, covering planning, analysis, reporting, and client communication
Apply your technical expertise to complex analyses, mentor junior staff, and ensure high quality deliverables
Lead and coordinate small project teams, fostering collaboration and growth
Contribute to process improvement and the advancement of technical capabilities

Education and experience:

Post graduate degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized university
Minimum 20 years of experience in geotechnical consulting
Valid Canadian driver's licence with access to a vehicle
Eligible to live and work in Canada
Based in Edmonton or willing to relocate
