Role Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the process mapping for the end-to-end multiple determination workflow, including inputs, transformations, outputs, and dependencies between stories.
  • Liaise between the engineering team and the PE Valuations / Valuation Group stakeholders to resolve open design decisions (e.g., smoothing policy, PitchBook feasibility, Athena timing gap).
  • Define and refine acceptance criteria for each story in collaboration with the PE Valuations team, ensuring outputs match deal team model expectations.
  • Design the human-in-the-loop review gates, including what information is surfaced to analysts, how overrides are captured, and how analyst sign-off flows through the system.
  • Manage the Data Schema reference document, including field definitions, mandatory vs. optional classifications, source hierarchy rules, and controlled vocabularies (Sector, Subsector, Business Model, Geography).
  • Coordinate with Crystal / deal teams on the Deal Team structured data entry mechanism and unstructured input formats.
  • Validate prototype outputs against real deal team models for accuracy and auditability.
  • Define configurable parameters (tolerance thresholds, recency windows, EBITDA margin thresholds) and document their rationale.

Required Skills

  • Deep domain knowledge of PE valuations, trading comps, precedent transactions, EV bridges, and multiple selection.
  • Experience writing structured requirements and acceptance criteria for data-intensive financial tools.
  • Familiarity with IFRS fair value measurement and audit-readiness requirements.
  • Stakeholder management across deal teams, valuation groups, and engineering.
  • Data modelling and schema design (JSON output structures, rolling records).
  • UAT coordination and test case design for financial accuracy validation.
