Role overview

Are you a seasoned Heavy Equipment Technician who thrives in the field, enjoys solving complex mechanical problems, and wants top-tier pay with real support behind you? This is a high-impact field service role working on specialized compressors across British Columbia—no boring shop routine here. Expect approximately one week per month of travel to Vancouver Island / Tofino.

You’ll be trusted as the face of the organization on customer sites, backed by excellent benefits, a service truck, paid travel, and a predictable day-shift schedule with flexibility when the job calls for it.

Compensation & Perks

Day shift: 7:00am–4:00pm, with flexibility for OT & field work

Key responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mobile and industrial compressor units in the field
  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, and emissions-related faults using computerized diagnostic tools
  • Performing preventative maintenance (fluid checks, lubrication, cleaning, inspections)
  • Completing repairs ranging from component replacement to major engine overhauls
  • Testing equipment post-repair to ensure performance meets or exceeds manufacturer specifications
  • Providing professional, timely, customer-focused service on-site
  • Accurately completing service reports and work orders
  • Working safely and in compliance with all site, environmental, and emissions regulations
  • Collaborating with other technicians, supervisors, and customers to explain findings and solutions

What We’re Looking For

  • Certified Heavy Equipment Technician

Valid passport (required for travel)

  • Proven field troubleshooting experience with diesel engines and rotating equipment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic ability
  • Comfortable using diagnostic software, schematics, and service manuals
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Physically capable of field work, lifting components, and working in varied conditions
  • Clear communicator with a customer-first mindset
