About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established and highly respected heavy civil contractor known for delivering some of Canada’s most complex infrastructure projects. With a strong portfolio that includes major bridges, tunnels, marine infrastructure, dams, wharf, jetties, deep foundations, and large-scale transportation projects, they are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead high-profile projects across Ontario and other major Canadian markets.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a construction professional with extensive experience managing large multidisciplinary civil projects from pre-construction through execution and closeout. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving project strategy, operational execution, client relationships, and overall project performance.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary ranging from $190,000 – $260,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for large-scale heavy civil and marine infrastructure projects including bridges, tunnels, dams, jetties, wharf, and complex structural works
Lead project teams through all phases of construction including pre-construction planning, procurement, scheduling, execution, commissioning, and project closeout
Manage project financial performance including budgets, forecasting, cost controls, change management, and risk mitigation strategies
Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, municipalities, agencies, subcontractors, and joint venture partners
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual, environmental, and regulatory requirements

What We Are Looking For

15+ years of progressive heavy civil construction experience with significant leadership experience on complex infrastructure projects
Proven background managing major bridge, tunnel, marine, dam, port, wharf, jetty, or other large structural civil construction projects valued in excess of $100M
Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methodologies including structural concrete, marine works, deep foundations, temporary works, excavation, shoring, and complex staging
Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams while managing multiple stakeholders in high-profile project environments
Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. P.Eng., PMP, or Gold Seal certification would be considered an asset
