Job Description:The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) is a clinical practitioner who integrates experience, skills, and knowledge from the nursing theory in the provision of direct patient/resident care, assessment of needs, clinical problem solving, and patient/resident and student/staff education. The CNL will contribute to the development of knowledge and the improvement of practice for an identified client population (ie Acute Care, ER, LTC).

Human Resources Exemption:No

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years exp. in the area of psychiatric and/or general nursing practice
  • Experience in a community rural setting
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)

Other Education and Training

  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
