Who are you?

Bourgault Industries is looking for a Production Welder to join our team in St. Brieux, SK. Our ideal candidate is motivated, attentive to detail and willing to learn! The purpose of this role is to weld quality components that conform to engineering specifications as well as production and quality requirements.

What will you do?

  • Use existing work orders, work instructions, and department procedures to complete weldments to an approved quality standard
  • Read drawings to assemble parts in a fixture
  • Produce welds in all positions and using tooling provided to produce high quality weldments
  • Follow the instructions of the supervisor to complete given tasks in preparation, tacking, and welding
  • Use other hand power tools such as angle grinders, drills, die grinders, and oxy acetylene torch as required to complete tasks
  • Detect minor defects in the parts being used or the completed component as well as minor defects in weld quality
  • Ensure that equipment being used on regularly is in good working order

What do you need to succeed?

  • Minimum of 1-2 years MIG welding experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Willingness to learn new skills
