STRIVE is working with a well-established organization in the construction equipment industry seeking aLicensed Heavy Equipment Mechanicin Mississauga, ON. This permanent opportunity is ideal for a skilled technician with strong troubleshooting skills and experience servicing heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of construction and heavy equipment
• Inspect equipment to identify faults, failures, and potential issues
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and component replacements using hand and power tools
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine servicing on equipment
• Service attachments and related equipment components
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
• Complete service reports, work orders, and maintenance documentation accurately
• Estimate repair requirements and communicate findings effectively
• Order parts and materials required to complete repairs efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with service and operations teams to ensure timely repairs and support

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
• Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician (421A) preferred
• 310T, 310S, or related mechanical certifications are considered an asset
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with construction equipment such as CAT, Genie, Skyjack, or similar equipment
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and equipment controls
• Experience with diagnostic software (CAT ET/SIS considered an asset)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Personal tools required for the role
