Salary: $33.95-$37.71/hour
In the event that not enough students register for the program, it may be cancelled at certain schools. In the event that more students register than anticipated, we may add groups and require additional staff.
The NCDSB will be providing an August Transition Program for Students. The Child and Youth Worker will work as part of a team to deliver a 2 hour per day program to students that will focus on self-regulation, self-advocacy, learning skills, personal hygiene, stress/anxiety management, functional literacy and numeracy skills and other useful transition skills. This program is intended to provide students with an opportunity to get reacquainted with school routines after having been away for the summer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:College Diploma in Child and Youth Worker program or Social Work equivalent in terms of training and experience.
