Position Summary

The Deburring Technician will be required to perform tasks involving light physical labor, operate a variety of hand and handheld power tools in deburring, polishing, sand blasting and sanding small parts.

Job Duties

The responsibilities for the rewarding position of deburrer at MacFab Manufacturing will include the following:

  • Set up and use hand tools to remove burrs from machined parts.
  • Set up and use sand blasting and tumbling equipment.
  • Grind and polish machined and sheet metal parts.
  • Visually inspect parts for burrs and imperfections.
  • Maintain tools and equipment as required.
  • Deburr parts with all safety precautions in place.
  • Read and interpret blue prints.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience

We are looking for candidates with the following minimum experience:

  • 5+ years' deburring experience required.
  • Ability to perform microscopic deburring preferred.
  • Ability to determine the kinds of tools required for the job.
  • Previous military or aerospace experience preferred.
  • Previous jobbing shop experience preferred.
  • Applicants with training from a recognized jewelry arts program-particularly the George Brown College Jewellery Arts Program-are strongly encouraged to apply.
