Description

J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking a Logistics Sourcing Analyst to support sourcing, analytics, and supplier performance across logistics operations. This is a full-time role reporting to the Senior Manager of Logistics Sourcing.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $77,500 per year

Responsibilities

  • Analyze logistics spend and identify cost-saving opportunities and risks, with a focus on outbound truck and rail freight
  • Maintain freight tables and contracts across TMS platforms (e.g., E1, MercuryGate) to ensure data integrity and continuity
  • Support supplier and internal stakeholder relationships to ensure service quality, contract compliance, and performance metrics
  • Develop and deliver monthly freight reports tailored to affiliate networks and regional markets
  • Lead outbound freight RFP/RFQ processes, including:
  • Collecting and validating forecasts
  • Gathering lane specific details pertinent to pricing considerations
  • Consolidating and issuing bid packages
  • Analyzing responses and providing award recommendations
  • Conduct detailed data analysis to support sourcing initiatives and strategic decisions
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities using industry best practices
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Travel as required.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of progressive experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain (manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with TMS systems such as MercuryGate, E1/E2 (preferred)

Proficiency with RFP implementation & optimization software would be considered and asset.
