Role overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused DZ Driver (Construction Distribution Driver) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering construction materials to commercial job sites while providing excellent customer service and ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a DZ commercial vehicle in accordance with all provincial regulations and company policies.
  • Deliver construction materials to commercial construction sites throughout Ontario.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely to prevent damage.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Verify delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures as required.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers and site personnel.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling using forklifts or other equipment when required.
  • Support warehouse operations, inventory organization, and general housekeeping during non-delivery periods.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any delivery issues promptly.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment

Requirements

  • Valid DZ Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
  • Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles and material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
  • Excellent attendance, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred

  • Experience delivering construction materials, doors, frames, hardware, or other building products to commercial construction sites.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Knowledge of commercial construction sites and delivery procedures.
  • Warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory management experience.
