A little about our Education & Training Division
At Mothercraft, we are dedicated to providing exceptional childcare and early learning experiences that promote healthy development for all families. The Education and Training Division includes Mothercraft's College of Early Childhood Education and training department. Mothercraft's College of Early Childhood Education offers a twelve (12) month, four-semester, accelerated and intensive diploma program in Early Childhood Education. The Mothercraft Diploma in Early Childhood Education is recognized by the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) and is a Registered Career College with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU). Mothercraft also offers professional training for individuals and groups in the early learning and early years sectors as well as training programs related to Home Based Child Care.

As an Academic Faculty, you will…
- Report to the Manager of Academic Programs and be responsible for teaching and delivering training in various discipline areas
- Plan, organize, and support program delivery including the Early Childhood Education diploma programs offered in two formats (in-person delivery and virtual synchronous delivery)
- Prepare course content and ensure that it is in line with current research and trends prior to course delivery
- Communicate and work in conjunction with the Manager, Academic Programs regarding all aspects of program delivery and teaching, including but not limited to student progress
- Utilize the learning management system (Moodle) and other electronic platforms/applications (e.g. Zoom) for successful delivery of the ECE Diploma program and trainings, as assigned
Ability to teach in-person and virtual (online) classes is a job requirement.
You will be set up for success if you have...
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and/or related field, working towards a Masters' Degree preferred
- Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- 2 years of full-time post-secondary experience directly related to delivering classroom training and materials
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult education principles in developing and delivering courses and related to classroom materials
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check
