Kina Gbezhgomi Child and Family Services (KGCFS) is a designated Child Welfare Service delivering Child Protection Services within seven member First Nations in the Districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin. KGCFS honours and supports our families’ and community’s inherent authority to care for their children based on unity, traditions, values, beliefs, and customs. Preference will be given to Anishinaabe Candidates, please self-identify in your application.This position is a full-time 1 year contract.
OVERVIEW:The incumbent provides after hours, weekends, and statutory holidays coverage on a rotational basis for all protection services of the Agency. It is an emergency service designed to meet urgent service needs and crises that require immediate attention. The After-Hours Worker will respond to all allegations of children/youth being in need of protection and to issues related to children/youth in care.
