Wage: 24.50/ hour

Securiguard is currently hiring Full-Time Security Guards for our Squamish operations. If you're dependable, professional, and committed to providing outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you'll help maintain a safe and secure environment while serving as a visible presence for our client. You'll work independently and as part of a team, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and ensuring site policies are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, and site perimeters to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Monitor access points by verifying identification, controlling entry, and enforcing site procedures.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with directions and general inquiries.
Complete scheduled equipment inspections and document the condition and location of site assets.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, medical incidents, and security concerns in a calm and professional manner.
Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
Monitor CCTV systems and investigate suspicious activity when required.
Perform routine inspections of fencing, gates, and other security infrastructure.
Maintain effective radio communication with supervisors and team members throughout each shift.
Identify and report safety concerns, hazards, equipment issues, or policy violations.
Assist during emergency situations, including evacuations and first-response procedures.
Follow all company policies, client expectations, and site-specific operating procedures.

Qualifications

Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.
Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
Physically capable of standing, walking, and conducting patrols throughout the shift.
Comfortable using computers and basic Microsoft Office applications.
Basic First Aid certification is considered an asset.
Previous security experience is preferred but not required.
