Job Summary
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity within a complex, service-driven operational environment that directly supports students, schools, and the broader district community. Reporting to the Manager of Transportation and Central Stores, the Assistant Manager plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of fleet, transportation, and logistics services. This role blends operational oversight with people leadership—supporting a diverse team of approximately 40 staff while helping drive service quality, process improvement, and day-to-day execution across fleet maintenance, student transportation, warehouse operations, and district-wide delivery services.
The Assistant Manager is a trusted operational partner who brings sound judgment, initiative, and a continuous improvement mindset to a high-accountability environment.
This is a term assignment for 12 months

What we're offering
The salary range for this position is $92,549 to $115,686 per year with comprehensive benefits package and Municipal Pension.
Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of qualifications and ability to meet the key requirements of the job, and consideration of internal equity comparisons. The midpoint of the range represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications, and experience for the position.
