Job Description:As a valued Employee of SHA, the general duty nurse has responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client care. The registered nurse is a competent clinical practitioner assisting individuals, groups and families with health-care needs ranging from uncomplicated to complex and rapidly changing status. As a professional the general duty nurse demonstrates a caring approach, including an understanding of the nursing process, a conceptual model for practice and SHA philosophy, objectives and standards.

Acute Care experience preferred.

Education

Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to work within established policies and procedures
Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making
Ability to apply methods and principles of nursing process
Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge in applicable principles of nursing process and interventions
