Role overview

Job Summary:

The Junior Business Analyst will support the Agency s Electronic Health Record (EHR) Onboarding workstream and related digital health service access initiatives. This role involves validating health information custodian (HIC) and legal status data, categorizing clinician end users, and ensuring compliance prior to migration to provincial digital health platforms. The analyst will facilitate onboarding processes, manage documentation, and engage with stakeholders to support continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:

  • Support end-to-end onboarding and intake activities for EHR and digital health services
  • Review and validate submitted information and documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Categorize and map clinician end users to approved Health Information Custodian (HIC) types
  • Validate legally responsible person information prior to digital health service migration
  • Maintain accurate tracking of requests, issues, and status updates
  • Support stakeholder communications and follow-up activities
  • Identify process gaps or risks and escalate as necessary
  • Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement efforts

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Experience supporting business analysis, onboarding, intake, validation, or process coordination activities
  • Understanding of PHIPA principles including consent, collection, use, disclosure, and safeguards of personal health information
  • Knowledge of health information custodians, agents, and Ontario healthcare sector onboarding requirements
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and validate information against defined rules and categories
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with standard business tools such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests in a high-volume environment

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

  • Experience with digital health onboarding or access processes
  • Familiarity with the Provincial Clinical Viewer or related Ontario Health digital services
  • Strong documentation and coordination skills
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in structured operational environments
  • Ability to adapt to evolving requirements
  • Public sector experience preferred

  • Hybrid work environment requiring 2-3 days onsite per week
  • High-volume environment requiring effective multitasking and prioritization

Scheduling:

  • Standard business hours with hybrid schedule (2-3 days onsite weekly)
