The Opportunity

The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct outreach calls to brokers who are contracted with Assumption Life. These calls are made using lists of newly contracted brokers, as well as brokers with average production, to help identify opportunities to grow their business with Assumption Life.

The purpose of this role is to act as a link between brokers and our field sales team, ensuring that sales representatives focus their time on brokers with strong growth potential and that field visits are as effective as possible.

This position also works closely with the Marketing team to ensure that new initiatives, campaigns, and resources are effectively communicated to the field. In addition, the incumbent provides support to brokers and the sales team in the adoption and use of new tools and resources.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Coordinate Sales Activities

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between Business Development Managers (BDMs) and brokers.
  • Optimize BDM schedules and travel plans to maximize the effectiveness of client meetings.
  • Prepare for meetings by reviewing sales reports, CRM data, and previous interactions.
  • Collaborate with BDMs to identify meeting objectives and key discussion topics.
  • Meet established activity targets, including outbound calls and appointments booked.

Provide Sales Support

  • Respond to broker inquiries and provide pre-sales support.
  • Assist brokers with product information, tools, and available resources.
  • Support brokers with proposal submissions and follow-up on their business.
  • Manage shared sales inboxes and respond to incoming requests in a timely manner.

Support Business Development

  • Conduct prospecting activities and follow up on opportunities to grow broker relationships.
  • Monitor sales trends to identify growth opportunities and address declines in business activity.
  • Follow up on first sales and proactively engage brokers requiring additional support.
  • Partner with the external sales team to ensure effective follow-up on presentations and business development initiatives.

Coordinate Broker Onboarding

  • Support the onboarding process for newly contracted brokers.
  • Conduct welcome calls and coordinate onboarding communications.
  • Ensure brokers receive the appropriate onboarding materials, resources, and support.

Maintain CRM Data

  • Keep broker information accurate and up to date in the CRM.
  • Record interactions, follow-up activities, and business opportunities.
  • Ensure data quality to support business development efforts and informed decision-making.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Fluency in both French and English is essential, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite; experience with GoTo Meeting is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle challenging situations and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Ability to analyze the needs of brokers and business partners, identify appropriate solutions, and make recommendations.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
