Business Continuity Analyst (Governance & Risk)
Drive critical resilience initiatives in the insurance sector, tackling real operational disruptions while strengthening business continuity and risk frameworks. A high-impact role with strong visibility, hands-on influence, and exposure to enterprise-wide strategies.

What is in it for you:
• Salaried: $48-54 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $57-63 per hour.
• 6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
• Hybrid role: 2 days per week in office (subject to change)

Responsibilities:
• Act as a subject matter expert in Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, and Operational Resilience within a risk management framework.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and challenge business continuity, disaster recovery, and resilience documentation, including business impact assessments, recovery plans, and testing results.
• Develop and communicate actionable recommendations to enhance resilience practices across business units.
• Ensure recovery strategies and plans remain viable, effective, and aligned with service continuity objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to address dependencies and ensure comprehensive planning across business and technology teams.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with crisis management, disaster recovery, and resilience teams to streamline processes and ensure alignment.
• Support scenario testing and validation activities to confirm readiness and recovery capabilities within defined tolerances.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and provide reporting to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee third-party contingency and exit plans to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
• Review supplier resilience assessments and ensure critical vendors meet required standards.
• Track deliverables, support reporting activities, and contribute to KPI and KRI dashboards.
• Deliver training sessions and guidance on business continuity tools, processes, and risk assessment methodologies.

What you will need to succeed:
• University degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• PMP, PMI, or equivalent certification in project or program management.
• Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery certification or designation.
• 3 years of experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, or Disaster Recovery program management.
• Experience in operational resilience governance and risk management frameworks.
• Proven experience in designing, executing, and managing disaster recovery and business continuity testing programs.
• 2 years of experience within financial services or insurance environments.
• Experience with Fusion Risk Management (Fusion RM) platform.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and process management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, negotiate, and influence stakeholders effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, coordinate cross-functional solutions, and validate outcomes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in team-oriented environments.
• Knowledge of industry best practices in business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.
• Experience with quality assurance and governance-focused activities.
• Experience presenting to large audiences and facilitating training sessions.
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks, including the three lines of defence model.
• Experience with large-scale data centre recovery and multi-technology environments.
• Understanding of hybrid infrastructure environments, including on-premises and cloud-based disaster recovery.
