Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Our client is a well-established Western Canadian construction company with a strong reputation for delivering quality commercial, industrial, and design-build projects. Key Responsibilities

Lead full-cycle project delivery from preconstruction through project closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Manage project financials including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, change management, and reporting.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
Develop and maintain project schedules, procurement plans, and project documentation.
Identify potential risks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects moving forward.
Support contract administration, change orders, and project closeout activities.
Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Coordinators and support field teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience as a Project Manager within the Canadian commercial construction industry.
Experience working for a general contractor managing commercial, industrial, institutional, or design-build projects.
Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, contracts, and subcontractor coordination.
Experience with CCDC contracts is considered an asset.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Design-build experience is considered a strong asset.
