About the Role:

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team and Clinical Leadership Team, the Director of Clinical Services will oversee the Residential and Integrated Support & Justice Pillars of Service at Stonehenge. This involves providing clinical direction and program oversight as well as oversight to Clinical Leadership staff. As a key member of the Senior Leadership team, this role will shape Agency strategic planning, programming, budget and staffing.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (days); On-call responsibilities on a rotational basis, which may require some evening and work

Qualifications:

  • Master’s level of Education in the Social Sciences Field (Social Work, Psychology) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in developing clinical programs and supporting professional growth of staff
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the field of addictions and community and/or residential treatment modalities
  • Registration with a professional college (i.e. OCSWSSW or CRPO) required
  • Knowledge of the Therapeutic Community model of treatment is an asset
  • Previous experience in hospitals, housing, shelters, or residential treatment an asset
  • Previous experience in concurrent disorders, trauma, and homelessness an asset
  • Lived experience related to addictions and/or mental health an asset
  • Valid G Driver’s License
  • Reliable Vehicle / Own Transportation and Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
  • CSC Clearance conducted by PWGS Canada
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening Check
  • Standard First Aid/CPR Level C
  • Must be able to attend work (travel to Continuous Care locations) within an hour of notification, when on call

Role Responsibilities:

Agency Leadership

  • Inform and implement Agency strategic directions
  • Inform high level operations such as risk management, community partnerships, and policies and processes in regard to clinical programs
  • Actively participate in regular meetings with the Leadership Team
  • Oversee special projects and initiatives
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's overall strategic plan
  • Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance culture at Stonehenge
  • Engage with the Board of Directors, and provide support to the Agency and to Senior Leadership team portfolios when required

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships and adopt a leadership role in meetings/committees/associations and with funders to bring about system transformation and new program opportunities
  • Develop new programming and oversee implementation of funding
  • Ensure compliance with funder contracts and budget requirements with a diverse range of funders (i.e. Ministry of Health, Correctional Service Canada, and Ministry of the Solicitor General)
  • Participate in provincial associations as required
  • Flexible schedule as required to support Agency functions

Leadership of Residential and Integrated Support & Justice Pillars of Service/Programs

  • Develop strategic vision of the Residential and Integrated Support & Justice pillars and oversee implementation
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to Clinical Leadership Team
  • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Provide coaching and oversight on recruitment, performance management, discipline, and termination; participate in related activities
  • Responsible for the effective management of program budgets
  • Provide clinical consultation and crisis management, on a rotational basis as required
  • Sign off electronic payroll and approve vacation requests for clinical leadership team
  • Ensure staff are working within the parameters of ESA and all relevant STC Policy and Procedures

Program Quality Assurance

  • Provide leadership and accountability for the evaluation and outcomes of the clinical programs
  • Oversee quality assurance with respect to the development, delivery, and evaluation of programming to ensure consistency with best practices and funding source requirements
  • Review program outcomes (client satisfaction, retention stats, etc.)
  • Work with the Leadership Team to improve overall programming for the Agency
