Gahan House Nova Centre

The Guest Services Manager will work under the direction of the General Manager and with the front-of-the-house management team taking an active role in all aspects of restaurant operations, including, staffing, scheduling, cost controls, staff training, and administration. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing team members and taking an active role during daily service, consistently providing quality service to our guests.

As Guest Services Manager, You Will

  • Demonstrate and communicate the Gahan vision to all team members and lead by example.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Host team, ensuring exceptional first and last impressions for every guest.
  • Oversee the restaurant's reservation system, managing bookings strategically to maximize guest satisfaction, service flow, and operational efficiency.
  • Own the guest experience from reservation to departure by anticipating guest needs, resolving concerns, and creating memorable experiences.
  • Ensure team members provide a memorable guest experience through coaching and by fostering a positive working culture that reinforces Murphy Hospitality Group's values every day.
  • Work with the General Manager and management team to achieve operational goals across restaurant operations, marketing, human resources, financial performance, and cost controls.
  • Champion a culture centered around memorable guest experiences, craft beer, and quality food.
  • Handle guest and team member concerns through effective conflict resolution and problem-solving.
  • Continuously improve front-of-house operations, productivity, and service standards.
  • Perform front-of-house duties as required, including hosting, bartending, serving, and expediting.
  • Build and maintain authentic relationships with guests and team members.

What You Bring

  • 2 years of experience working in a full-service high-volume restaurant
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in business or hospitality is an asset
  • 1+ years of experience in front-of-house restaurant management considered a strong asset
