The Executive Director of Corporate and Continuing Education (C&CE) leads a diverse team of 70+ staff across multiple portfolios of non-credit, upskilling, and reskilling training products. Reporting to the Associate Vice-President Industry Solutions the Executive Director C&CE provides strategic leadership for a team focused on enrollment growth, enhanced customer experiences, and development of initiatives to realize institutional and business unit priorities.

As a senior leader in NAIT’s Industry Solutions portfolio the Executive Director inspires staff to build a strong team culture rooted in NAIT’s five values: creativity; collaboration; accountability, respect, and celebration. We see this strong team culture as the foundation of this market-driven, innovative, growth-oriented and profit-generating department that serves over 16,000 B2C and B2B learners every year. In collaboration with leaders across NAIT, the Executive Director also supports and shapes NAIT’s Product/Program mix and new product line development initiatives by providing insights and perspectives that are representative of C&CE and in alignment with institutional priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Co-creates and facilitates the implementation of short, medium-, and long-term priorities and plans for Corporate and Continuing Education, in alignment with insituional priorities.

-

Inspires a strong collaborative team culture based on teamwork.

-

Develops and nurtures collaborative partnerships internally and with external stakeholders, including government officials, leaders of other educational institutions, and industry partners.

-

Leads and collaborates on the development of marketing and sales strategies that align across teams and product lines.

-

Build future leaders by fostering exceptional talent and amazing teams to enable succession planning.

-

Accountability for the C&CE budget within Industry Solutions.

-

Holds responsibility for leading teams in achieving revenue targets

-

Insures full department involvement in product and market opportunity identification, locally, regionally, and internationally.

-

Works closely with leaders across the institute to support the strategic goals of C&CE, Industry Solutions, and NAIT.

-

Works closely with the cross-functional Product/Program Mix team.

-

Drives internal and external communications strategies.

Skills & Abilities:

Significant experience in leading diverse teams toward a common vision.

Strong financial acumen.

Acute customer focus paired with sharp commercial acumen.

Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management focused on instilling trust and credibility.

Proven ability in operating a business profitably focused on non-credit training

Is at the forefront of understanding technology and markets that drive transformation within training and assessment services and immersed in the latest thinking around higher education and training.

Awareness of academic structures and program types/delivery within a post-secondary institute.

Excellent communication skills.

General working knowledge and application of:

Qualifications:

-

Extensive senior-level strategic leadership experience

-

Experience working with industries to develop, implement, and complete industry-specific training programs.

Experience in workforce development, and higher education Continuing Education programs with a focus on product growth and new product development.

-

Experience and understanding of grant development and project management.

-

A relevant degree (master’s degree considered an asset)

Remuneration

Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
The compensation range for this job posting is: $148,873.14 - $197,236.78
