THE ROLE

Our recruitment team is currently working with one of the leading distributors in Canada. Recognized as one of the Top 100 Best Employers, our client continues to experience constant growth, with multiple locations across North America. The Delta location is currently seeking an Extrusion Expert to join the Outside Sales Representative, working fully on-site with shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday. The client is looking for a go-getter with directdistribution, mining, steel, industrial, construction, or fabricating experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve territory business objectives, including sales goals and growth targets.
  • Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive territory business plan.
  • Prospect through face-to-face interactions and cold-calling to establish new customer relationships and generate additional business.
  • Partner with internal sales and operations teams to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
  • Analyze market activity and customer demand to help forecast inventory requirements and maintain appropriate stock levels for specialized product offerings.
  • Establish and maintain service processes that promote operational efficiency and a consistent customer experience.
  • Monitor industry developments, market trends, and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and support sales growth.
  • Prepare pricing proposals, coordinate with internal stakeholders on customer credit approvals, and assist with sales agreements and documentation.
  • Maintain a balanced presence between customer sites and the local office to strengthen client partnerships and expand business within the assigned territory.
  • Communicate technical product information clearly and professionally while addressing customer questions, negotiating commercial terms, and providing effective solutions.
  • Visit contractor and customer job sites to understand project requirements, recommend suitable products, and support successful project execution.
  • Manage customer projects from initial inquiry through final delivery, ensuring a seamless sales process and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Previous commanding sales experience for over 5 years as an Extrusion expert. Previous territory ownership.
  • Ability for overnight travel (during weekdays).
  • Strong problem-solving, sales, computing, organizational, and team-oriented skills.
  • Great time management skills.
  • Multi-tasker and goal-oriented personality.
  • Access to own vehicle.

Compensation

  • $90,000 to $120,000
