THE ROLE:

STRIVE is currently recruiting for Warehouse Cleaners to support one of Canada's leading food distribution companies in Port Coquitlam, BC. This is a 1-month temporary assignment with an immediate start.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. You will work throughout various warehouse temperature zones, including dry areas cooler areas, ensuring workspaces remain clean and meet food safety standards in Port Coquitlam, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physically active work and wants to gain experience with a well-established distribution company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse facility
• Empty garbage bins and dispose of waste in designated compactors
• Clean warehouse spills promptly to maintain a safe work environment
• Sweep warehouse floors, aisles, loading docks, and work areas
• Operate pallet jacks as required to move waste and materials
• Collect damaged products and transport them to designated staging areas
• Maintain cleanliness in dry, refrigerated, and freezer environments
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health & safety procedures
• Wear required PPE at all times, including steel toe safety footwear
• Complete additional warehouse cleaning duties as assigned by supervisors

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous warehouse, sanitation, cleaning, or general labour experience is preferred
• Clear criminal background check required
• Comfortable working in cold and refrigerated environments
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive cleaning duties throughout the shift
• Experience operating a pallet jack is mandatory
• Strong attendance, reliability, and positive work ethic
• Must have CSA-approved steel toe safety boots
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
