Job Description:The Emergency Medical Technician-PCP is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, provide initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses

  • Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)
  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
