Job Description:Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing Practice and Education, the Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring all work is in alignment with the organizations missions, goals, values, and strategic plans to promote high quality, safe client care. This is accomplished by assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating unit orientation, in-servicing and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family centered care; participating in committee work as assigned; participating in continuous improvement activities; developing and maintaining client and staff resources. The CNE will function as a member of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care in the SHR, including regular direct communication and input from the clinical nursing manager(s).

Experience
- 3 years recent full-time equivalent experience in geriatric/medical nursing
- Experience in a clinical leadership role such as charge nurse or equivalent
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Other Education and Training
- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
