Pinchin is seeking a Senior Proposal Specialistto join our Proposals team in Canada. Reporting to the Proposal Manager, this newly created role will play a key part in leading strategic proposal submissions and supporting business growth across the organization.

Role Overview

As a Senior Proposal Specialist at Pinchin, you'll play a key role in driving the company's growth by leading the development of compelling, high-quality proposal submissions across Canada. Working closely with technical experts, business leaders, and colleagues across multiple offices, you'll manage proposal pursuits from opportunity identification to final submission, helping to craft winning strategies, develop impactful content, and ensure client requirements are met. In this collaborative and fast-paced role, you'll contribute directly to business development success while mentoring team members and promoting proposal excellence across the organization.

Your Impact

  • Lead strategic, high-value proposal pursuits for Federal Government departments, agencies, Crown corporations, and other public-sector clients, ensuring compliance with complex procurement requirements and evaluation criteria
  • Manage large, complex, and multi-disciplinary proposal submissions involving multiple service lines, offices, partners, and stakeholders across Pinchin’s offices in Canada, from pursuit planning through contract award
  • Provide senior-level guidance and expertise on procurement processes, solicitation requirements, security considerations, and proposal best practices to support successful submissions
  • Lead internal clients/teams through complex pursuit strategies, facilitating reviews, risk assessments, win-theme development, and competitive positioning discussions
  • Balance and manage simultaneous proposal opportunities while maintaining compliance, quality, and responsiveness in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Develop, write, edit, and enhance proposal content, including project profiles, corporate information, resumes, and other business development materials.
  • Oversee final proposal production, submission, and reporting activities, including maintaining opportunity records and pipeline forecasts.
  • Mentor and support Proposal Coordinators and Proposal Specialists while fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a culture of proposal excellence.

What You’ll Bring to Pinchin

The ideal candidate is a collaborative and detail-oriented proposal professional with a passion for developing compelling, client-focused submissions. They bring strong writing and project management skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, and have the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization while driving proposal pursuits to successful outcomes.

  • Degree or Diploma in Technical Writing, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing proposals, RFIs, RFQs, and RFP responses in a professional B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing successful submissions for Federal Government procurement opportunities and other public-sector clients is a strong asset.
  • Experience using Microsoft Copilot, AI-assisted writing tools, or other proposal automation technologies to support content development, research, and proposal efficiency.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and content development skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent proposal pursuits while meeting competing deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of proposal strategy, compliance requirements, quality assurance processes, and pursuit best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently while driving projects forward to successful completion.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and translate them into clear, persuasive, client-focused proposal content.
