Job Description:Competent clinical practitioner assisting individuals, groups and families with health-care needs ranging from uncomplicated to complex and rapidly changing status. Demonstrates a caring approach which reflects and incorporates expertise.

Human Resources Exemption:No

Experience

  • 2 yrs exp in Acute Psych or Comm. Mental Health nursing or a combo of the two.
  • Exp in the last 5 years in psychiatric assessment & intervention required
  • Exp in the last 5 yrs with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders

Education

  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)

Other Education and Training

  • Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
  • Basic CPR, ASSIST preferred
