The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $92,700 - $121,700. The offered salary will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations.

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Field Warranty Specialist - Central Zone to support our Vehicle Safety Compliance Liaison Office of Canada (VSCLOC) and Warranty team. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Manager of Field Warranty.

The selected candidate will administer Toyota and Lexus Warranty/Extra Care Protection (ECP) Policy with dealerships to achieve both customer satisfaction and ensure dealers have consistent profitable processes.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Analyze Warranty and ECP expenditures by dealer
  • Perform warranty claim debits where necessary
  • Support on-going training on the Claims Processing System and Warranty/ECP Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure dealer staff are accountable and fully capable of self-analyzing and managing warranty business
  • Analyze territory KPIs to identify dealers at risk and work proactively to implement SOPs
  • Perform onsite and Virtual Warranty Assessments with dealers that have identified as having areas of concern
  • Assist dealerships to develop and implement SOPs and/or guidelines
  • Ensure dealerships are fully aware of the guidelines of the Dealer Self Authorization program and that Goodwill expenditures are correctly utilized
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Warranty Claims, Product Quality and Service Support (PQSS), VSCLOC and Zone Offices
  • Initiate and implement appropriate ‘kaizen’ supporting work efficiencies related to effective cost control

What You’ll Bring:

  • College diploma or University degree in Automotive, Business, or related discipline and/ or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Warranty or a related function
  • Experience with dealership operations and collaboration is mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual in French is considered an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and data analytical skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and basic PPT)
  • Holds a valid G Driver’s License
  • Flexibility to travel overnight as required
