Location: Ottawa, ON
Compensation:$55.96–$58.62 per hour, with opportunities to earn overtime in accordance with the GAFAE Collective Agreement.
Schedule: Four-week rotation: 7 consecutive night shifts, 7 days off, followed by 2 weeks of 12-hour day shifts. Shifts are subject to change based on operational needs.
About the Opportunity
As the Aircraft Maintenance Control Centre Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in directing and synchronizing maintenance control activities to ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant, and consistently prepared for operation. Serving as the central link between Maintenance and Operations, you’ll support seamless coordination, timely decision-making, and operational continuity across our network.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate timely two-way communication between the Maintenance and Operations departments in real time with ACA background;
- Coordinate communication during IROP situations between Maintenance and Operations;
- Assist in a supporting role, the return to service of AOG aircraft;
- Facilitate daily maintenance meetings as required;
- Provide support as required for aircraft operating away from maintenance bases;
- Provide a Fleet Status Report, including ETR's for un-serviceable aircraft and immediately advise of any fleet status changes;
- Responsible for the care and control of Company owned publications, tools, and equipment by personally ensuring that publications, tools and equipment are returned after use;
- Ensures that any required Maintenance Irregularity Reports (MIRs), Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs), Daily Status Reports and Aircraft Problem Communication Reports are completed properly and entered in systems;
- Work towards achieving true technical dispatch;
- Closely monitor OTP and help to develop solutions for improvement;
- Increase the oversight of tooling and parts for large projects;
- Increase control of Recon equipment;
- Increase in Oversight in GSE status;
- Responsible for OH&S compliance while on shift; and
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Previous supervisory experience and/or training.
- Working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
- Knowledge of Transport Canada Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Solid working knowledge of company maintenance documentation and procedures, including Journey Logbooks, MELs, DMI deferrals, and test flight requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and TRAX system.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) in accordance with Transport Canada requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License (M1, M2, or E category).
- ACA authorization on at least one company aircraft type.
- Familiarity with company operations and structure, particularly within the MCC, OCC, and Dispatch environments.
- Ability to communicate in Inuktut.
