At The Keg Steakhouse & Bar (Niagara), we believe that great food starts with meticulous preparation and a passionate team. We are looking for a dedicated Prep Cook to join our kitchen, a role that is crucial in upholding our standards of excellence and ensuring every dish delights our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare individual dishes and signature sauces, contributing to the consistent quality and flavor guests expect.
Execute precise knife work for vegetable preparation, ensuring efficiency and product consistency.
Operate a variety of professional cooking equipment, including stovetops, ovens, dicers, steamers, mixers, slicers, fryers, and grills, safely and proficiently.
Actively monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients, ensuring the kitchen is always well-stocked.
Thoroughly wash and prepare food items, adhering to all food safety and hygiene protocols.
Organize and stock prepared items efficiently, maintaining an orderly and accessible work environment.
Uphold the highest quality standards for all food items and accurately determine food portions.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts, contributing to a safe and efficient kitchen operation.
Work effectively and independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and accountability.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is a valuable asset.
Ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written directions in English to ensure clear communication and adherence to recipes.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic kitchen environment.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively as a valued member of our team.
