Job Description

Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying the conformity of machined parts according to drawings, tolerances, and customer requirements. He or she actively participates in maintaining the company's quality standards.

General Information

Main responsibilities

-

Perform dimensional and visual inspection of machined parts.

-

Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

-

Use measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, optical comparator, cmm, gauges, etc.).

-

Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections.

-

Identify non-conformities and participate in their resolution.

-

Ensure traceability of results by transmitting equipment reports/certificates to clients.

-

Collaborating with production teams to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

-

Participate in the continuous improvement of quality processes.

-

Maintain the calibrations of measuring equipment and comply with quality procedures.

-

Sort batches of non-conforming parts and participate in their correction.

Desired profile

-

Any relevant training in inspection.

-

Experience in quality inspection in a machining environment (an asset).

-

Good command of blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing (GD&T) is an asset.

-

Knowledge of metrology instruments.

-

Attention to detail, autonomy and analytical skills.

-

Good communication and teamwork skills.
