Job Title: Hitch Pro

Job Summary
As a Hitch Pro at U-Haul, I specialized in the installation, maintenance, and inspection of trailer hitches, towing accessories, and related equipment. I provided excellent customer service by ensuring every installation was completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install trailer hitches, wiring harnesses, brake controllers, and towing accessories on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Perform vehicle inspections to determine compatibility and ensure safe towing configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Explain towing equipment, proper usage, and safety procedures to customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete installations efficiently and safely.
  • Follow company policies, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Assist with inventory management and ensure parts and equipment are properly stocked.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet customer service and productivity goals.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and towing equipment is an asset.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
