POSITION SUMMARY

As a dynamic and dedicated educator, you will work with faculty, support staff, students, parents, and the community of Keewatin Public School to provide an excellent education in a learner-centered environment that prepares each student to be a successful individual and a responsible member of society.

Ideal candidates are able to enhance quality of education while creating a positive and inclusive school climate and learning environment for students.

Candidates will have involvement with school or system-level instructional leadership, demonstrate an understanding of board strategic priorities, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a demonstrated ability to problem-solve and deal effectively with conflict, and maintain a strong focus on student success, achievement and well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ontario Teacher Certification in good standing and Principal's qualification program required. Five years teaching experience and Special Education qualifications are preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Please provide a copy of the Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of qualification. This position will require a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) or a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) at the employee’s expense.
