Role overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Technical Analyst to join our team. This position is ideal for co-op students, interns, recent graduates, or individuals looking to begin their career in Information Technology.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced IT professionals and gain practical experience in technical support, workstation deployment, troubleshooting, system administration, documentation, inventory management, and technology projects.
No prior professional experience is required. Training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide Level 1 technical support to internal users
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Assist users with technical questions and system-related problems
- Install, configure, and deploy desktop and laptop computers
- Set up printers, monitors, peripherals, and other IT equipment
- Assist with workstation moves, additions, and changes
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
System Administration Support
- Assist with user account management and access provisioning
- Support routine system maintenance activities
- Assist with monitoring IT infrastructure and technology systems
- Support software deployment and updates
- Assist with cloud-based services and administrative platforms
Asset Management & Inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory records for IT assets
- Track computer equipment, accessories, licenses, and peripherals
- Assist with asset tagging and documentation
- Support lifecycle management of technology assets
Documentation
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Develop user guides and process documentation
- Document troubleshooting procedures and resolutions
- Maintain records of installations, upgrades, and configurations
IT Projects
- Support IT infrastructure projects and deployments
- Assist with workstation refresh initiatives
- Participate in software and hardware rollouts
- Support testing and quality assurance activities
- Assist with cybersecurity-related initiatives and best practices
- Collaborate with senior team members on special projects
Required Technical Knowledge
Basic understanding of:
- Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Microsoft Office applications
- Computer hardware components
- Operating system installation and configuration
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi)
- Basic troubleshooting methodologies
