What This Role Is Really About

You'll manage and coach a growing team of inside and outside sales professionals across every market we serve. Conversion is the scoreboard - and you own it. Your job is to build a team that books more of the right jobs, at the right margin, because clients choose Ferguson for our professionalism and expertise - and because your team earns that trust on every call.

Your consultants run face-to-face video consultations, build detailed move plans in real time, and navigate everything from local moves to complex long-distance and commercial relocations. They are advisors as much as salespeople - and you'll coach them to be exceptional at both.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coach a blended inside and outside sales team day to day across all Ferguson markets
  • Own the scoreboard - team booking percentage, revenue against target, and pipeline health are live numbers you track and act on every day
  • Coach on what drives results here - deep discovery, empathetic communication, confident objection handling, and the follow-through that earns trust
  • Step into live deals when it matters - you'll close alongside your reps, not just coach from the sideline. Authority takeovers are a defined part of how this team operates
  • Run the operating rhythm - daily huddle, weekly pipeline review, scheduled call reviews, and regular role-play sessions across the full team: inside consultants and outside sales managers, including the handoff between them on complex jobs
  • Hold the team to response times, follow-up discipline, and conversion standards
  • Manage the handoff between inside and outside sales - fully briefed, cleanly closed, nothing lost
  • Help build commercial sales strategy and translate it into daily execution
  • Own the team end to end - hire, onboard, develop, and when coaching has run its course, make the hard calls

You're Probably Our Person If

  • You have direct experience selling or leading a team in moving, home services, logistics, real estate, or hospitality
  • You've led or mentored a sales team and know the difference between managing activity and actually making someone better
  • You understand that this kind of selling is fundamentally about human connection - and you coach empathy and expertise as seriously as you coach closing
  • You're data-fluent and use numbers to drive better coaching conversations, not just to report upward
  • You can hold someone accountable directly without damaging the relationship
  • You take genuine pride in a team that earns rave reviews, not just a team that hits quota

What You'll Earn

This is a selling leadership role. You carry personal commission because you'll sell alongside your team including stepping into complex deals, authority takeovers, and high-value opportunities. Your earning potential grows directly as your team's conversion and revenue grow.

  • Competitive base salary $65,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience
  • Team override on all team gross revenue - your team's growth is your growth
  • Personal sales commission on deals you close directly
  • Quarterly performance bonus tied to team conversion rate and revenue targets
  • OTE: $110,000–$135,000

The full compensation structure will be shared during the interview process.
