Role overview

Job Summary:

The Project Manager (Central Intake) will lead and manage the implementation of clinically focused information technology projects for a prominent healthcare organization in Saskatchewan. This role involves overseeing multiple complex projects, coordinating diverse stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high-quality outcomes. Reporting to the Director of Citizen and Referral Services, the Project Manager will provide strategic project management support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Support and lead a proactive, cross-functional project team fostering innovation, teamwork, and open communication.
  • Recognize and promote both personal and team successes.
  • Maintain a high level of competency in project management disciplines.
  • Assist project team members with project planning, implementation, change management, transition, and communications.
  • Monitor and report project progress to teams, steering committees, and sponsors.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and common understanding of project expectations.
  • Provide oversight for requirements gathering, detailed design, and future state development.
  • Lead, direct, and manage project staff to optimize resource use and maximize performance through mentoring and development.
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet project objectives efficiently.

Required Skills:

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • Minimum of five (5) years managing large-scale IT software or infrastructure projects (provincial or equivalent scope).
  • Authorized to work and located in Canada.

Desired Skills:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Experience in organizational change management.
  • Previous healthcare environment experience.
  • Proven project planning and estimating skills.
  • Ability to create and manage work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Familiarity with current IT platforms, methodologies, and IT support environment processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills with IT and non-IT stakeholders.
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to simplify complex information.
  • Strong multitasking, facilitation, troubleshooting, time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Personal characteristics: detail-oriented, analytical, result-driven, customer-focused, and strong interpersonal/team orientation.
