We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our National Rental-All team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by building strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities, managing incoming inquiries, and supporting the overall sales process.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who enjoys connecting with customers, learning products and services, and finding solutions that meet customer needs. This role requires someone who is curious, adaptable, and comfortable balancing relationship building, sales activities, and customer support in a fast-paced environment.
As a key member of the sales team, the Inside Sales Representative will work closely with Outside Sales Representatives to support lead generation, customer follow-up, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate rental and sales solutions.
- Manage inbound customer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person interactions, providing timely and professional service.
- Proactively generate new sales opportunities through outbound calls, lead follow-up, and customer outreach.
- Identify customer needs and translate conversations into sales opportunities through effective questioning and solution-based selling.
- Prepare rental quotations, reservations, contracts, and pricing proposals accurately and efficiently.
- Support the sales process by qualifying leads, maintaining customer information, and sharing opportunities with Outside Sales Representatives.
- Utilize CRM and rental software systems to track customer interactions, opportunities, follow-ups, and sales activity.
- Maintain strong product knowledge of equipment, rental offerings, and services to effectively communicate features and benefits.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support smooth rental transactions, including equipment availability, deliveries, and customer expectations.
- Assist with dispatch coordination and communicate delivery timelines with customers as required.
- Maintain accurate sales documentation, reporting, and activity tracking to provide visibility into sales performance.
- Support showroom operations by ensuring displays, merchandise, and customer-facing areas are organized and presentable.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, sales processes, and operational efficiency.
- Support the implementation, continuous improvement, and effective use of rental software and sales tools.
- Promote and demonstrate commitment to company safety standards, values, and a customer-focused culture.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, retail sales, construction sales, equipment rental, or a related industry.
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with customers.
- Strong interest in sales with the ability to identify opportunities and convert conversations into results.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging with new and existing customers.
- Experience using CRM systems or sales tracking tools is considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
- Curious mindset with the ability to learn products, ask questions, and understand customer needs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to grow professionally.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and find solutions.
- Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative and working independently.
